Passion for sailing, passion for perfection — this defines our past, present and future. Directors Louis Hamming and
Jan Vitters both share an extensive background in yachting. Twenty years ago, with a true entrepreneurial spirit,
they decided to start their own yachtbuilding company, “we can do this ourselves and do it better… by doing things
differently we can succeed.” Today, Vitters is a company that thinks out of the box, a company not afraid of inviting
others to cooperate on a project. The combination of creativity and craftsmanship has been a winning formula.

“We share our passion for sailing and perfection with our clients.” For instance, our in-house development of a
hydraulic steering system with rudder feedback adds to the ultimate sailing experience that Owners envision.
Larger yachts need hydraulics to feed the rudder because the forces on the rudder blade are so strong that manual
operation is not possible. With the Vitters rudder feedback system, you do however feel the pressure and draft of
the water on the blade — the experience of sailing you would otherwise miss.
