Sarissa
Sarissa is a spectacular 42.6 m carbon globetrotter. Naval architect Bill Tripp designed this performance sloop with a fully modern hull shape, sail plan, and foils. The interior is by Rhoades Young Design Ltd. Sarissa is the largest carbon fibre sloop built to date in the Netherlands.
Following Vitters’ previous carbon high performance sailing yachts, this increase in size is not the only development. Sarissa’s hydraulic and deck systems provide improved reaction speed, load and stiffness to safely facilitate the sailing performance she was designed for. Other custom technical features are an in-house developed hydraulic steering system with rudder feedback, as well as a unique system of back staysandrunning stays to operate both her cruising andracing sail configurations.
Sarissa is a modern, technical yacht whose design was guided by close client input and involvement. She will be used to sail all over the world with the family in tow, and will take part in the established superyacht regattas. The layout and deck plan show a strong emphasis on a clean and modern look on deck and family friendly layout below deck. The main sheet has been placed on an arch spanning the cockpit to keep the deck clear. The aft cockpit can be transformed into a swimming pool for the kids.
