Contract Signed for Project 3097

Progressing under the build name ‘Project SY 07’ and commissioned by an experienced yachtsman, this luxurious superyacht will carry a premium design pedigree with naval architecture and exterior design by Dykstra Naval Architects, and an interior by Vripack.

Designed for long-range world cruising with the ability to compete in occasional superyacht regattas, Project SY 07 features a pilot cutter–inspired hull with a generous aft overhang, optimised hydrodynamics and careful weight control for responsive, all-round performance.

On deck and inside, the yacht draws on the golden age of sailing from the 1920s–30s, blending classic detailing with a contemporary execution. The deck layout is arranged around the owner/helmsman and family, equally suited to afternoon sailing or extended passages. Vripack’s interior reimagines traditional styling for today, with a standout main saloon bar as a signature feature, and has been developed to a clearly defined budget.

Project SY 07 will accommodate eight in four cabins, with crew quarters for seven. Van Ineveld & Co will act as Owner’s Representative, overseeing technical specification, budget, and schedule.

From a technical standpoint, the yacht targets a lightship displacement of 230 tonnes and 253 GT. A telescopic lifting keelwill vary draft from 4.5m to 6.9m, while a Panamax-height mast just under 62.5m, will carry approximately 1,200 sqm of sail, including a square-top mainsail with slab-reefed boom system. Project SY 07 will be built to Lloyd’s Classification and flagged with the Cayman Islands.

Keel laying is scheduled for January 2027, with delivery planned for early February 2029.
